A worn Roman sestertius, probably of Marcus Aurelius as Augustus (AD 161-80), probably dating to AD 168-70 (Reece Period 8), probably [PROFECTIO AVG COS III S C]; Emperor riding right with attendant soldiers. Mint of Rome. RIC III, p. 290-1, cf. nos. 963-77. This type was also struck for Lucius Verus and Commodus, but this coin appears to have the head / bust of Marcus Aurelius.
