Medieval copper alloy key, Length 65mm, width 27mm, thickness 9mm, weight 45.94grams. The key is missing its terminal loop and consists of a circular sectioned plain shaft with a large rectangular bit. The bit is complete and has an indentation running down its length, parallel to the shaft. This has a small nick removed from its lower edge. The rest of the bit is of two parts, a narrow rectangular upper section and a larger square section with three short removals on its outside edge, beyond which is second indentation running down the length of one side parallel to the shaft.
