A leady alloy three ounce weight of uncertain but probable modern date (post 1800). The weight is circular in plan and rectangular in cross section. The upper and lower faces have an impressed partial and eroded design, most likely formed by the impressing of a penny or halfpenny into the surface. The upper face bears the impression (reversed) of Britannia, seated on rocks holding shield and trident with posy of flowers extended. The underside is less easy to interpret - possibly having a crown like design - but the surface is heavily worn. The weight is a mid grey colour with an uneven light grey surface.
The weight measures 32.8mm diameter and is 11.2mm thick; it weighs 85.59 grams or 3.02 ozs.
