Roman plate brooch, cast copper alloy, very poorly preserved with much loss of the stone settings and all of the surface. Oval with a central oval setting. There are indications of concentric stamp marks around this setting. On the back are the remains of the pin mount and catch plate. Length 37.2mm, Width 25.7mm, Height 3.2mm, Thickness 2.0mm, Mass 9.32g.
