A complete copper alloy bell dating from the medieval or post-medieval period, that is c. 15th-17th century. The object is made from a triangular sheet of metal rolled into a conical shape. The open end has four petal-like flaps of metal folded towards one another leaving small gaps inbetween to act as sound holes. At the apex of the cone is a small flattened, oval suspension loop. It is slightly bent out of shape and has a corroded green/reddish-brown patina.
Similar examples on the PAS database include: SWYOR-0E6543, IOW-B94741 and SUSS-2260F4. A general late medieval to post-medieval date is typically suggested for bells of this form.
