A copper alloy mount of post-medieval date. The object is circular in plan and D-shaped in cross section. The octofoil (or eight lobed) head is in the form of a flower head with eight evenly spaced petals surrounding a central pellet. At the rear of the object are two integral lugs for attachment. They are incomplete. The mount has a dark green patina and is in fair condition. Similar examples which can be found on the PAS database include LVPL-78C30B and IOW-971B67.
Dimensions: 15mm in diameter, 4.5mm thick (including lugs), 2.4g.
