A cast copper-alloy strap fitting or loop of Medieval date. It has an oval frame that is oval in cross-section, with narrowed rectangular bar at the attachment end. At the outer edge of the frame is a transverse collar from which projects a globular oval knop. The entire object measures 18.10mm in length, 11.40mm in width, 3.63mm in thickness, and 1.24g in weight.
This is a strap fitting or loop of Medieval date with similar parallels noted from London (e.g. Egan and Pritchard, 1991: no. 1192). It is of probable c.14th century AD date.
