An incomplete cast copper-alloy strap fitting or loop of Medieval date. Only the outer edge of the frame survives, the remainder now missing due to old breaks. It is rectangular in form, D-shaped in section with flat back and rounded front face. At the centre of the outer edge is a prominent oval shaped boss, with slight semi-circular projections at each end where outer edge and now missing sides of the frame meet. This fragment measures 26.09mm in length, 5.84mm in width, 3.46mm in thickness, and 1.89g in weight. This is a copper-alloy strap loop of Medieval date with near identical parallels published from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991: no. 1263). It is of c.14th century AD date.
