Post-medieval, copper-alloy, complete, pierced, jetton of the Schultes family of masters of Nuremberg (dating from AD 1515 - AD 1603), Lion of St Mark type. Mint: Nuremburg. Mitchiner (1988) Vol. 1 pp. 392 - 3, No 1300 - 1307, p 397 - 9, No 1322 - 1330 or p 406 - 407, No 1382 - 1386.

Obverse: [ ] MARCVS EX[ ]N G[ ] 'Lion of Saint Mark' standing left, nimbate and winged holding book of Gospels in right, raised forepaw. Halo projecting into margin

Reverse: [ ] SCHVLTES HRKOTNI(?), An Imperial orb surmounted by a cross pattee within a double stranded multifoil, all within an inner circle.

Jetton has been pierced in the 9 o'clock position on the obverse. Jetton is abraded and worn.
