Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper alloy Colchester brooch, with the spring, pin and forward-facing hook missing. Both slightly bent wings are decorated with two vertical grooves, the broad flat-backed bow with a pair of median wavy lines set in a groove and the solid catchplate with rocker-arm engaving on both faces. Mackreth 2011, C 6.c, the Sedgeford, "essentially a type at home in Norfolk and the Fens". Length 61.7mm. Wingspan 20mm. c.20 - c.60.
