A complete and corroded Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy buckle pin (c. 450-c. 600).
This pin is convex at the front and mainly flat at the rear. The shaft has parallel sides and a down-turned tip. At the front, the shaft is divided from the loop by three transverse parallel ridges. The middle ridge is larger than the other two. The loop is fully enclosed.
This buckle-pin is reddish brown with green corrosion products.
