An incomplete copper alloy spoon of post-medieval date. The spoon has a sub-rectangular stem or handle that tapers slowly towards the terminal end however most of the handle is missing. The bowl, again incomplete, is 'fig-shaped' in plan and the reverse of the junction between the stem and the bowl displays a short rat-tail. The 'rat's tail' connection was was superceeded c. AD 1715, while this spoon is likely to date from c. AD 1550-1650.
