An incomplete post-Medieval lead alloy four-part cloth seal (c. 1665).
Two discs are missing. The surviving two discs are joined by a rectangular connecting strip. One disc has a raised design, a merchant's mark: PW ligated with the legend 'DORSET' surrounding. A six-pointed star at either side of P. The other disc has a raised design, two lions passant guardant left, one above the other with 65 below.
This cloth seal has a dark buff patina.
