A silver voided long cross quarter penny of Henry III dating to AD 1250-1256. Almost certainly Class 5c Canterbury variety. Moneyer Nicole. Mint of Canterbury. The fragment measures 14.24mm across the two corners. Three small holes have been neatly made in the coin at each of the corners. North 993 (North, JJ, 1980, English Hammered Coinage Volume 1, Spink & Son, London p 182, no 993).
