A complete copper alloy buckle of Early-Medieval date, c.AD 900 - 1100. The buckle is D-shaped in plan with a slight triangular projection to the outer curved edge and a narrowed strap bar. The frame is decorated with a series of punched annulets.
The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The buckle is 20.4mm long, 15.8mm wide, 1.9mm thick and weighs 1.4g.
