DEBITAGE

Unique ID: WAW-32A73C

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Mesolithic to Neolithic (-8,300 to -2100) debitage: Primary flint flake with a vertical, slender, scar on the dorsal surface alongside a strip of cortex. The ventral surface has conchoidal ripples, but the distal end is truncated but perhaps more recently and not intentionally. The proximal is also truncated, therefore the bulb of person is missing. The flint is a mottled dark grey colour with patina just starting to develop on the ventral and dorsal surfaces. 21.87mm long, 15.83mm wide and weighs 1.59g.

The flake probably dates from the Mesolithic to Neolithic period.
