Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper alloy brooch lug, 18mm long, 11mm wide and 10mm thick with a weight of 6.05grams. The object consists of a circular flat plate which has two linear incisions running around its edge. On one side of this pate is a small semi circular? projection placed near one edge and a central circular hole with traces of iron staining. There is a possible scar from a second projection on the opposite edge. On the opposite side of the plate is a sub spherical lobe whos sides are facetted, formed of triangles set at alternate angles.
