A four disc, lead alloy cloth seal, dating from the early post-Medieval period, about 1662-5 It consists of four thin discs connected in sequence by narrow, thin strips. The disc at one end of the row has a circular perforation and that at the opposite end an integral spike. The strip of metal between the two central discs is then folded over so that the spike on one end passes through the perforation at the other. The two central discs are then impressed with a design. On the perforation side there is a faded image of a shield with a horizontal stripe and possibly two birds. On the other, it has a faded date of 166 and either 5 or 2 as the last figure of the date, on the bottom disc it has vertical lines.
