An incomplete copper alloy pin or stud, probably of Roman date. The head is roughly spherical, although has a slightly flattened base. The stem is sub-circular in section and tapers slightly, culminating in an abrupt break.
It is similar in size and form to an example from excavations at Aldborough, North Yorkshire (Bishop 1996, 17, fig.9, no.41).
