A fragment of an Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy strap or belt fitting of the Quoit Brooch 'School' (c. 410-c. 500).
This object is made of sheet copper-alloy. It is rectangular in plan, curved in profile and is part of the end of the hollow fitting. At the convex front it is decorated with horizontal and vertical grooves and ridges (ribbed).
The object has a green patina and the breaks are old.
