A complete flint Notched Scraper of Mesolithic date (9000-3450 BC). The lithic is L shaped in plan and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface has large, covering, scaled flaking and a distinct notch aspect in the left hand edge. The left and right hand edges, to either side of the notched aspect, have rough semi/abrupt retouch. The outer left and right hand edges have some semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is slightly convex due to a large bulb of percussion situated at the proximal left right hand side. The bulb has partial, shallow, parallel flaking across its right hand edge. The flake retains a minor amount of cortex along the left hand edge and is therefore a secondary flake.

The flint is grey in colour with light grey inclusions throughout. The cortex is light brown.
