A uniface lead object with the arms of Faversham dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. The object is an irregular shaped blob of lead onto which the oberse of halfpenny of the Faversham 'Cinque Port' type has been stamped or empressed. The design is reversed and consists of a garneshed shield of 'three lions passant guardant as many hulls of ships', eseentialy three lions above each other the back halfs of which are the aft section of a ship. The shield is surmounted by date 1794 and is surrounded by a legend, of which only 'HALFPENNY ___ KA______AL' visible. The design was not fully visible even when new due to the shape of the blob. The blob is a dark grey typical of aged and oxidised lead.
Measurements: 35.99mm wide, 30.46mm long, 5.24mm thick (at thickest) and 27.11g in weight.
