Copper alloy mount. Cast arched pendent mount, probably associated with the hanging of a purse. Three semi-circular inverted arches, the largest in the middle, with a horizontal bar at one end with a knop or stop at its end; an equivalent is lost from the opposite end. A late medieval date is suggested by an example from London, though another from Lurk Lane, Beverley is ascribed to a context of 1290-1325, which may hint at the residual status of the London object (A.Goodall 1991, 'The Copper alloy and Gold', in Armstrong et al., Excavations at Lurk Lane Beverley 1979-82, Sheffield Excavation Reports 1, J.R. Collis, Sheffield, 148-154, page 150, fig. 114 no. 604). Suggested date: Medieval, 1290-1450.
