A Roman silver denarius of Augustus (27 BC - AD 14), dating to AD 13-14 (Reece Period 1), PONTIF MAXIM reverse type depicting Livia or Pax seated right. Mint of Lyon. RIC I, p.; 56, no. 220. RSC 223. This rare coin is the forerunner of the very common silver denarii of Tiberius with the same reverse (see RIC Tiberius no. 30).
