An incomplete Roman copper alloy brooch, dating AD 150-17. The bow, catchplate and head remain, though the pin and spring are missing. There is a pronounced ridge running down the centre of the bow, starting from a rounded loop at the head of the brooch. The head has wings wither side, covered in a ribbed decoration on the outer surface. The catchplate has a triangular perforation through the centre. The metal has a mid-light green patina.
A similar example is published in Hattatt (1985, no. 258).
