An early Medieval contemporary copy of a silver sceatta. Copying a Series E 'Porcupine' Type sceat (c. 675-c. 750). Not further defined. Obverse: 'Porcupine' bust right Reverse: Square beaded standard, annulet at centre within. Uncertain mint and uncertain moneyer. The coin appears to have an Iron core which has been silver plated. Corrosion obscures one side of the coin, so the series classification is uncertain.
