Copper alloy mount. Cast rectangular concavo-convex plate with a pelleted border surrounding the bevelled edges of a rectangular plaque standing proud of the rest. This bears the stamped seriffed letters G S. Powdery white material in the hollow back, though stained green by corrosion products, may represent relict fixative; it is uncertain how else this would have been attached. Suggested date: post-Medieval, 1750-1850.
