An incomplete stone head, probably dating to the late-Iron Age to early-Roman period (c.100 BC-AD c.100), but possibly 19th century. It is missing fragments from its sides.
The head has some features which are common on Iron Age heads. These include the lentoid eyes, triangular nose and flat face with a blank expression on it. The head has a bushy but short beard and mosutache. Also notable are the 'radiates' around the top and sides of the face which may represent brushed back hair. The head also appears to wear a large headdress which covers the entire top and back of the head.
The head measures c.320mm in height, c.265 wide and c.220mm thick. It is made from a coarse micaceous standstone.
