A post medieval copper alloy mount dating to the period c. AD 1500 - 1700. The mount is rectangular in shape and is slightly convex. It has a series of six regularly spaced rounded knops projecting from one long edge and five knops projecting from the opposite edge. The final knop on this side is missing due to an old break or mis-casting. An integrally cast lug projects from the centre of the reverse. The mount has a mottled brown and green patina.
It measures 25.82mm in length, 8.04mm maximum width, 3.84mm minimum width, is 1.19mm thick exculding the integral lug, 7.95mm thick including the lug and weighs 1.44g.
