A lead alloy post-medieval cast one piece button with an integral loop (AD c.1500-c.1700). The button is circular with a slightly convex obverse and a slightly concave reverse. The decoration is too worn and corroded to decipher. The loop on the reverse is rectangular. There was originally an iron pin attached to the loop, like a hinge, but this has since broken off in two pieces. The pin is roughly cylindrical. Overall, the button measures 19.7mm in diameter and 6.3mm thick. It weighs 2.30g. The longer piece of the pin measures 16mm long. The button and the iron pin together weigh 2.59g.
