Incomplete and abraded Roman tin-coated copper alloy Colchester Derivative Rearhook brooch with the spring, the pin, the outer end of one wing, the rearhook and part of the catchplate missing. The wings are decorated with bead and reel and the sub-circular sectioned bow with grooves and ribs that merge to form a triangular arrangement on the upper half, the lower half seemingly being left plain. The bow ends in "a simple blob foot" (Mackreth 2011, 67, pl. 41, no. 12053). Patches of tinning remain on the sides of the top of the bow and on the catchplate. Estimated wingspan 32mm. Length 40mm. c.43 - c.65
