A complete Iron age (c80-50BC) Gallic imported bronze unit. This coin is probably from the Carnutes tribe of, what was, Northern and Eastern France. Identification is difficult as the unit is very corroded, but thanks go to Liz Cottam of Ancient British Coins for her help. Probably, Obverse: Head right; Reverse: Eagle right with eaglet and snake. The bronze unit is 14.3mm by 13.2mm in diameter, is 2.8mm thick and weighs 1.85g.
