A ceramic rim sherd from a Roman Black Burnished ware vessel dating to the period c. AD 250 - 410. The sherd exhibits a beaded rim with a dropped flange just below. The fabric is black and exhibits abundant quartz and mica temper. Seager-Smith & Davies' form 25, dating to c. 250-410.
The sherd measures 32.28mm in length, 40.81mm in width, is 8.91mm thick (15.76mm thick including flange) and weighs 14.50g.
