A late medieval to early post-medieval copper-alloy (late) Tournai jetton. Angular shield series with shield bearing three Vs above three lis inscribed with legend beginning VOVS, dating c. 1497-1521. Minted at Tournai. See Mitchiner (1988, 237-238) for the series, but for this rare obverse (and reverse) see LVPL-3FC833 on this database
In good condition with a green patina, it measures - diameter 26.4mm, thickness 1.1mm, and weighs 3.45g
