A pierced post-medieval copper-alloy Nuremberg jetton of an anonymous guild issuer dating to c. 1550-1585, though closest to types attributed to Hans Schultes I. Rose/orb type with fictitious inscription. Minted at Nuremberg. See Mitchiner (1988, 403-404) nos. 1370-1375
This jetton has a diameter of 24.9mm, a thickness of 0.4mm and a weight of 1.10g. It has a slightly dished flan and minor circumferential abrasions. A crack extends from one point of the circumference and almost reaches the centre of the jetton. A small perforation, possibly for conversion of the jetton into an item of jewellery has been made through the reverse at a point corresponding to 8 o'clock on the obverse.
