Copper alloy and iron umbrella fitting. Cast ring with five equidistantly spaced projecting radial lugs and a sixth retaining ferrous concretions. David Williams kindly corrects an initial erroneous identification of the object by this reporter as a watch winder: '[This is a] modern umbrella component, not a watch winder'. Suggested date:Modern, 1900-2000.
