A complete early-medieval (Anglo-Saxon) cast copper alloy dress fastener (hooked tag), dating to circa 8th-11th century AD. The hooked tag has a broadly circular body with two holes for attachment to a garment. There is a concentric ring design to the face consisting of a central dot with five circles. The lower edge of the tag has a rear turned hook. The item has a dappled green patina with ferrous staining.
