Copper alloy as, probably of Antoninus Pius (AD 138-61), dating to AD 154-5 (Reece Period 7), probably BRITANNIA COS III S C, Britannia seated left. Mint of Rome. RIC III, p. 142, no. 934. The irregular flan shape and style of seated figure do support this attribution. This is one of the most common 'Coins of British Association' listed by David Walker in the report on the coins from the Sacred Spring at Bath (Walker 1988, pp. 297-8, no. 73 passim).
