A cast lead mount. Circular openwork, with a frame decorated with vertical hatching. Evenly spaced around the frame are four circular lugs, the bottom two of which have been perforated. The central device is a lion or probably lioness in profile, in romanesque style. The head is turned backwards, as though he is biting his/her tail. The beast has an open mouth and a large oval eye. Around the neck and waist is a decorated band of rows of squares. The back of the accessory is plain. The diameter is 43.50mm and the weight is 13.45g.
