A Cordate flint handaxe of Palaeolithic date (800,000 - 40,000 BC). The Axe has convex sides and the butt-end is wider than the cutting-end. It has a pointed oval cross section. The flint is dark orange in colour with no cortext remaining. The flint has a glossy patina. The implement has been bifacially worked, both faces appearing to have had equal work with all over with multi-directional flake removals, tending towards the edges.

The hand axe is 74.9mm long, 51.3mm wide, 25.1mm thick and weighs 105.36 grams.
