Flint scraper of probable Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age date (3300 - 1000 BC). The flint is a dark golden brown coloured, opaque, secondary flake with cortex remaining on the dorsal face. It is sub-oval in plan and sub-trapezoid in section. The removal scars on the dorsal face are struck from the left. There is short, abrupt, hard hammer retouch to the sides and distal end carried out from both the dorsal and ventral faces, but also extensive edge damage and damage (possibly from weathering) to the ventral face. It is not entirely clear whether this is a crude scraper, or an extensively damaged flake. It is 32mm long x 29.5mm wide x 7.3mm thick and weighs 9.2g.
