A ceramic vessl sherd from a vessel of Bronze Age to early medieval date (c. 2500 BC - AD 900). The fabric has buff - brown surfaces with a reduced dark grey core. It has a soft texture and exhibits abundant chalk and grog temper with some shell inclusions. The sherd has been heavily abraded and exhibits a number of cracks across the surface. It is irregularly shaped with a slightly convex profile.
