Fragment of post medieval, 17th century, green glaze surrey-Hampshire border ware ceramic vessel base, AD.1600-1700. The piece is the base of a vessel, glazed internally with a transparent green glaze, the fabric is creamy white. The exterior is unglazed, oxidised white-cream colour. There is some ridging on the interior surface from the wheel production. The wall of the vessel is thin, and finely made. The vessel seems to have broadened at the waist, tapering to the base.
