Flint knife of probable Neolithic date (4000 - 2200 BC). The flint is a mottled grey coloured, opaque, tertiary flake with a single dorsal ridge. It is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-trapezoid in section. There is short, sub-parallel, low-angle, soft hammer retouch to the extent of the left hand side, carried out from both the dorsal and ventral faces. There is similar retouch to the right hand side which also has two concave notches formed by semi-abrupt retouch from the dorsal face on the distal notch, and from the ventral on the proximal notch. The tool is 46.5mm long x 15.6mm wide x 4.6mm thick and weighs 3.4g.
