Contemporary counterfeit of a shilling of the 'new' coinage of George III. Badly worn but would have had laureate head of the king facing right on the obverse with the legend GEORG III DG BRITT REX FD. The reverse has a crowned shield within a garter (see Spink 2009, 404, No. 3790).
