A complete Roman silver denarius of Marcus Aurelius as Augustus, dating c. 170-171 AD. Reece period 8, mint of Rome. Reverse; COS III, Jupiter seated left holding thunderbolt and long sceptre. RIC vol. III, p. 231, no. 228. The coin is well preserved, despite some wear to both faces and edge-splits.
