A cast lead alloy token of later medieval or post-medieval date (1400-1800).

The token is circular in plan. The upper face is well worn and contains a cast design in relief with a number of ribs visible at the outer edges of the token. Due to the wear on the token a definite type may not be possible, although it can be compared to that of Powell's type 12, described as quartered geometrics or possibly type 7 (hatching or grid) or 26 (celestial) objects if ribs are emanating the rays of the sun. there is an oval shaped indentation on the front face and one on the reverse. The reverse face is undecorated with a raised rim which extends around the circumference of the token. The token is grey to cream in colour with an uneven patina. Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses such as use as tallies, gaming pieces, tickets, weights, etc. and are believed to have been locally produced; they are therefore difficult to date precisely. Powell (2012) comments that Type 1, 31, and 3 are designs which were commonly made stock and occur in large quantities, dating to the late 16th to mid 19th centuries.

The token measures 29.56mm diameter, is 2.73mm thick and weighs 11.5 grams.
