Medieval copper alloy harness mount, 26mm long, 24mm wide, 2mm thick, and weighing 7.32grams. The object appears to be rectangular in form and section and has a scalloped edge. It has been folded back on itself, but appears intact. It has at least seven small circular holes arranged around a larger central hole. It appears to have foliate style incised decoration, at least in each corner, on one face. In the centre of one edge there are two transverse suspension loops, set close together which, along with a corresponding one on another component, would have formed a hinge like suspension mechanism. The whole object is heavily gilded.
The object has an unusual form, but appears to be a medieval harness pendant.
