Roman copper alloy enamel inlaid chatelaine brooch with a hinged pin closely comparable with Mackreth 2011, British Plate 7.b and Hattatt 2000, fig. 210, Chatelaine type, but without projecting lugs and a bar for an etui set, and without any evidence of ever having been equipped with the same. A separate knob in the central boss is missing. Some inlay is missing, but where it remains three colours are used: blue (probably glass), appearing dark green and appearing pale green. The latter two were probably green and yellow. Length 41.7mm. Width 46mm. Weight 16.79g. 2nd century.
