A complete end and side scraper of Neolithic date (4000-2350BC). This is a D shaped scraper knapped from a secondary flake with previous flake removals on the dorsal surface and remaining cortex along the left lateral edge. The bulb of percussion is very diffuse and there is a distinctive lip on the striking platform, both indicative of the soft hammer percussion technique. This may also tentatively suggest an earlier Neolithic date as soft hammer was used less in the later Neolithic. There is continuous retouch along the left edge, distal end, and halfway up the right edge of the dorsal surface. This retouch is short, scaled and semi-abrupt on the edges and more abrupt at the distal end.
The flint is opaque and gradates from dark to light grey, with moderate white spots. The implement is 46.35mm in length, 37.87mm wide, 8.86mm thick and weighs 17g.
